Exercise Lose Weight

Unless you’re already very fit, walking exercise to lose weight is a much better fat burning exercise than running for weight loss. Thirty minutes walking a day, every weekday is considerate moderate exercise and will help to increase overall fitness plus being excellent for the health of the heart. Some people like to intersperse their normal walking with short bursts at a faster pace which is obviously more tiring.

Try walking in different settings, alternating walking with dance on different days, and of course including a partner can be much more interesting than going at it alone. Some of the most popular endurance exercises are stationary bike riding, walking and rowing.

People looking to lose weight can also find walking a great way to do this without having the expense of joining a gym or expensive clothing and it is something that almost everyone can do naturally. Some other sports where walking is involved also have the added advantage of having a second exercise function like carrying a weight as in hiking where the rucksack performs the weight action.

If you haven’t been exercising for a long time then walking is a good place to start as it fulfills many aspects that are needed to get fir without the huge physical exertion necessary from some other exercise routines. It doesn’t take much to start and it is recommended that if you haven’t carried out any type of regular exercise to only start with five walking minutes a day and increase to the half an hour a day over a period of time.

The number of health benefits related to the simple act of walking are enormous and it is easy for anyone to do and if you have time why not join a club which should make it more interesting. Although if you are looking for fitness equipment that will maximize your walking efforts, then a treadmill is the obvious choice.

Even with all the types of fitness equipment available, the treadmill is still the most common used and can be sued for more than just walking. The treadmill works by using a continuous belt that can be adjusted for speed and inclination so it will give the same effect as walking up a hill so the cardiovascular and calorie burning properties of it are excellent.

However, the treadmill needs to have decent motor and ramp inclination range (for when you simulate walking up a hill) if it’s going to be of any use. The treadmill works for a lot of people who like to work out in the privacy of their own home.

Ultimately it is the convenience of a treadmill that is hard to beat because if even if you only have ten minutes to spare you can use it so it means you can walk at any time you feel like it.
